Time of day restriction
Is there any way to apply a time of day restriction on calling search
spaces in CM 3.3.3? If not, in which version does this first appear? Any
other way to route or block calls based on time of day?

No there is not a function in CallManager as of yet. I have not seen this
feature mentioned on any feature roadmaps either.

Depending on what you are trying to accomplish, there may be a way to
facilitate this. For instance, in Unity you can route incoming calls based
on time schedules, you could also block all voice calls on an IOS gateway
using a time based ACL.

What is the problem you r are trying to solve with time of day restrictions?

ToD routing should be in CM4.1 when it releases. Until then, we have to use
Unity, CRS, or a CTI app to provide time of day functionality with CCM.

We want to implement 12 traditional "classes of services", which I'll be
doing with calling search spaces and partitions. One of the service rules
is that toll calls can't be made during certain hours. We don't use Unity
or CRS. Could you give me some more details on a CTI app that would
provide time of day functionality for calling search spaces?

Hi Candace,

I used "cti app" to refer to any application, Cisco or otherwise that
integrates to CM via CTI to provide this functionality.

This is very easy to do in CRS/IPCC Expres and only the IVR package is
required.
I'm almost certain I've seen a canned CRS script to do this.

If you are using Cisco IOS gateways as your outbound gateways you could
possibly implement this in a TCL script.

This is very similar to the CAA and PCA products offered by Dimension Data.
They may have productized this already.
