CRA 3.1.2 (newbeee)
As a Supervisor how do you monitor a call? I press the call monitor,
then what?

As the supervisor (enhanced) I can barge in or intercept but I'm having
difficulties monitoring.

I also can press the record, but how do I get the recorded conversation
back to listen to?

The base qualification is that the CRS server is running on a SPAN port on the switch where the voice traffic in question resides. Without a SPAN, none of the monitoring/recording functions work.

Do you have the VoIP Monitor Server(RASCAL) setup on a server with 2 NIC's
so it can capture packets? Also you need to modify the registry on the
computer you are trying to monitor. Another issue we had was the RASCAL
server had to be on the same switch and VLAN as the stations being and doing
the monitoring. A good link for setup and configuration of RASCAL is:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/custcosw/ps1001/products_tech_note091

Scroll to the bottom of the page for the registry entries that need to be
made. Good luck!

Jesse

Do I have my SPAN, RSPAN not setup correctly?

CRA 3.1 -- Cat6509(IOS) --- Cat3550 --- IP Phones
|
H323 V-GW -- PRI Out to PSTN

Cat6509

monitor session 1 destination interface Fa3/44
monitor session 1 source remote vlan 202
monitor session 2 source vlan 102 rx
monitor session 2 destination remote vlan 202

interface FastEthernet3/44
description CRA Server
no ip address
no logging event link-status
duplex full
speed 100
wrr-queue cos-map 1 2 2
wrr-queue cos-map 2 2 3 6 7
switchport
switchport access vlan 202

Cat3550

monitor session 1 source vlan 102 rx
monitor session 1 destination remote vlan 202 reflector-port Fa0/24

All phones are dynamically set to vlan 102 on the 3550. I have not set
an IP address on the CRA server. Do I need to?
