[nsp] hand-made cross-over X21
Hi,

I made a cross over X21 in order to connect two routers back to back.

router-----Male X21----Converter-----Male X21------Router

Please, can someone have a look at my converter?

pin 1--------------shield GND------------------pin1
pin 2--transmit + -------------receive + -----pin4
pin 3--control + ---------------indication + --pin5
pin 4--receive + ---------------transmit + ----pin2
pin 5--indication + ------------control + ------pin3
pin 6------------------timing + -------------------pin6

pin 8---------------control GND ----------------pin8
pin 9--transmit - ---------------receive - ------pin11
pin 10--control - ---------------indication - ---pin12
pin 11--receive - ---------------transmit - -----pin9
pin 12--indication - ------------control - -------pin10
pin 13-----------------timing - ---------------------pin13

Thank you.

Regards,

Christophe

nope

dce----dte
(2,9)---->(4,11)
(3,10)---->(5,12)
(4,11)<----(2,9)
(5,12)<----(3,10)
(6,13)---->(6,13)

braces mean a twisted-pair, arrows show actual signal direction

Probably it does not work... because there is no clock source
You clock source of supply It makes. Both It connects with pin6.

However, it is easy to carry out the difficulty of making
a clock generator.

## X.21 clock signal level is V.11

Best regards,
