I had asked several months ago about using a 3550-12T as a CPE router. We
now have one installed that is pushing 40-50Mbps with no problems. The
IP forwarding and access-lists are processed by the 3550 TCAM hardware
. We did run into an OSPF NSSA bug that people should watch out for:
CSCdt45069
When the 3550 is rebooted it will set a forwarding address of 0.0.0.0
on Type-7 orginated LSAs. The problem can only be fixed by clearing
the OPSF process.
