Hello,
We're implementing bricolage for the chihuahua's state goverment website
here in méxico and the IT people came up with the usual inquiries
regarding the software.
Instead of writing the justificacions by myself, this time, i want to
try the community wisdom so i can be sure i won't miss any point.
Here are the inquiries:
- It's not pouplar and it's not very used
this one i think is irrelevant since popularity does not imply quality
- Yo have to know HTML
Actually you don't, the desing is defined and there should be no
need for the user to code HTML, and we can sanitize the stories on the
templates
- The progamming languages (perl and mason) and the DBMS (postgresql)
are not currently in use by the it personal of the goverment
- The operating system (Linux) is not currenty in use by the it personal
- There are no Industry evaluations that qualify it
- They say that they've evaluated tools with better features and
programming languages used by the goverment like: Alfresco, DotNetNuke,
Open Text, etc...
- They claim websphere is better
