Fellow Bricoleurs,
With regard to [this](http://bricolage.lighthouseapp.com/projects/29601-bricolage/tickets/32-rename-lock-val-in-media-profile-to-something-less-confusing) bug report, your opinions please.
Currently, for media document fields that are autopopulated, we have an unchecked check box that says "Lock Val". If you check one, then the value in the associated field will be locked to the current value, never to be autopopulated, even if you upload a new file. Unless you uncheck it again, at which point it will be autopopulated again.
Marshall thought this was confusing. Do you?
He suggests that we instead have a checked checkbox labeled "Autopopulate". If you uncheck it, it won't be autopopulated by new media files. If you check it again, it can be updated by a new media file upload.
Does that seem more intuitive to you? Would something else be better? Does anyone ever actually lock these values? I'd appreciate your thoughts.
Best,
David
