Router cache not updated
Hi,

I just ran into a problem with wackamole - the router ARP cache was not
updated after a change (the machines on the same subnet got the update).
Is there any way to debug wackamole to make sure it sends out the
notifications to the router?

I am running version 2.0.0. I can't use the latest version 2.1.1,
because there is a piece of code there that does not work on Linux:

http://lists.backhand.org/pipermail/wackamole-users/2004-September/000350.html

I tried to check the CVS here
http://commedia.cnds.jhu.edu/cgi-bin/viewcvs/munjal/wackamole/

but that link does not work.

Can you tell me when this could be fixed?

Thanks,
Simon

It looks like anonymous CVS isn't working for Wackamole on Commedia
right now. Maybe the information on the
http://www.backhand.org/wackamole webpage is out of date.

I tried getting the source via CVS directly:

cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@commedia.cnds.jhu.edu:/storage/cvs checkout wackamole
cvs [checkout aborted]: connect to
commedia.cnds.jhu.edu(128.220.221.1):2401 failed: Connection refused

Sorry,
Ryan

Re: Router cache not updated [ In reply to ]
Hi again,

On the bright side, the router issue was my mistake - I told wackamole
to use the en0 interface for notifying the router, and I only have eth0.
It would be nice if wackamole told me during startup that I have invalid
interface names in the config file.

Maybe it does, in the new versions, but the CVS server is still inacessible.
