I'm new to this list, and a new user of wackamole. I'm planning on using it to achieve failover of a firewall solution I'm in the middle of building. We had looked into vrrpd, but after testing it, we found it to be pretty lacking in features.
Here are my questions...
I've seen some mention of multiple interfaces in the list archives for both spread and wackamole. Our current setup is like this. We have two machines, with two interfaces each, one an internal network (not necessarily rfc1918), and one external network (not necessarily routable). Is it possible to have wackamole run such that we can have a VIP for each network we are on? We need this functionality so that if either interface on either network should fail, we can failover. I've looked over the mailing archives, and the docs I could find, and didn't see any mention of this. The comments in the sample wackamole config seem to indicate that you can only use one interface.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks...
