There are so many packages missing on all rhel7 repos,
that I really do not know if the effort is worth ...
Anyway, my basic survival environment is here:
http://orion.lcg.ufrj.br/RPMS/myrpms-el7-x86_64/repoview/
Epel has been extensively used in my builds ...
Some packages from F20 have also been used, such as lirc.
Everything has been tested.
