Installing mplayer FC18 64bit
Hello Guys,

I have been trying to install mplayer , but am getting a strange
dependency :

Error: Package: 4:mplayer-1.2-91_snap20130509.fc18.x86_64 (atrpms)
Requires: mplayer-skins

# yum install mplayer-skins
Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit
No package mplayer-skins available.

Any ideas

Best Regards
Milorad

Thanks Paulo,

That did the trick.

Re: Installing mplayer FC18 64bit [ In reply to ]
It would be really appreciated if someone could put mplayer-skins up in the atrpms repo so 'yum install mplayer' can work. I'm particularly interested on the el6 repo.

I glanced around orion.lcg but couldn't find the src.rpm. Hope it's not lost!

Thanks,
Chris

The package is no arch, that is, it can be installed
on any system (it just contains skins).

In fact, I think I never had the source package...

Re: Installing mplayer FC18 64bit [ In reply to ]
Someone had a source at some point...google / rpmfind.net guided me to here: ftp://ftp.pbone.net/mirror/atrpms.net/src/f15-86_64/atrpms/stable/mplayer-skins-1.0-16.src.rpm
A quick signature check should verify the integrity of the original sources.

$ rpm -qip mplayer-skins-1.0-16.noarch.rpm
Name : mplayer-skins Relocations: (not relocatable)
Version : 1.0 Vendor: ATrpms.net
Release : 16 Build Date: Thu 03 Sep 2009 01:23:17 AM EDT
Install Date: (not installed) Build Host: flocki.atrpms.net
Group : Applications/Multimedia Source RPM: mplayer-skins-1.0-16.src.rpm
Size : 18604868 License: GPL
Signature : DSA/SHA1, Thu 03 Sep 2009 01:23:21 AM EDT, Key ID 508ce5e666534c2b
Packager : ATrpms <http://ATrpms.net/>
URL : http://mplayerhq.hu/
Summary : skins for Mplayer

Even a noarch can have dependencies and everything should have a source "just in case" say, even rpm changes...or revision updates (e.g., new skins, per --changelog).

$ rpm --requires -qp mplayer-skins-1.0-16.noarch.rpm
rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) <= 3.0.4-1
rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1

Thanks!
