bootsplash in kernel from ATrpms
Hi,

I have some problems with bootsplash using your kernel.

It shows me the penguin logo during the boot, but I can't get it to use theme.

- I've installed kernel
- installed bootsplash themes
- patched inird (splash -s -f /path/to/config >> /boot/initrd-2.4.22-1.2174.nptl_37.rhfc1.at.img)
- added this string to grub.conf (kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.22-1.2174.nptl_37.rhfc1.at ro root=LABEL=/12 hdb=ide-scsi video=vesa:ywrap,mtrr vga=0x31A
splash=silent)

Maybe I've done smth. wrong?

I haven't set up bootsplash myself, yet. I had packaged it upon
request of the newrpms maintainer, who wanted it.

Since the normal logo appears, I assume the kernel patching works.

Did you check the config file settings at

http://www.bootsplash.org/config.html

Maybe there is the missing piece.
