Hi, Axel
After more than 2 years on review, yafaray has finally been approved for
Fedora.
However, the name of the package has been changed to YafaRay:
http://people.atrpms.net/~pcavalcanti/srpms/YafaRay-0.1.1-4.fc14.src.rpm
The package builds also for rhel5 and rhel6. Therefore, since we have
blender now,
we can have YafaRay for rhel, too. It needs qt4 for building.
The package renders great scenes, but has an incompatibility with gettext
(bugzilla #650471).
A very simple workaround is provided in the README.Fedora in the
Yafaray-blender package
(it just involves changing the default qt4 theme by the user).
Rhel5 also requires OpenEXR-devel:
http://people.atrpms.net/~pcavalcanti/srpms/OpenEXR-1.7.0-1.fc14.src.rpm
Thanks.
