Zopoe.org QueuedCatalog
I experience some problems with the queue being not or flakey updated
for portal_catalog for a week now, maybe a problem with the cronjob --
could someone look into this please ?

The queue size on the queue catalog shows as zero, so I doubt there
is a problem with the cron job. I can't seem to get onto any machine
beyond cvs and storage1, anyway.

Looking at the QueueCatalog I notice that the immediate indexes are
way way too limited. It is safe (and fast) to let all non-textindex
indices be used immediately. I wonder who thought up this arrangement.

I had to process the queue by hand a few times today, think it is the
cronjob after all. I'll send a mail to sysadmin.

Do you have an idea how that job is run and on what machines? I'm at
ZC now and I can ask them to give me access.

Sorry no, you'll have to check with sa@zope.com

Thanks, Michael

I found it. What a mess. There was a lock file in the way for the
queue flusher. I cannot even figure out where that instance logs to
so the diagnosis is simpler next time. That whole setup needs to go
into the trash.
