unless there is some way to easily run with a 2.4 kernel, you'll need to
wait until we finish our conversion to 2.6. Since I believe that xen is
the best way to go for this application, I will do my best to make it
happen as soon as 2.6 support is available.

The result of the duopoly that currently defines "competition" is that
prices and service suck. We're the world's leader in Internet
technology - except that we're not.

Thanks for your answer.

is is just starting to come to life but with the usual open source self
funded route to pay for development, it will be a while (months).

Could one of the xen developers speak up on the state of patches for the
2.4 kernel? a burst of laughter will be taken as an indication that
that path has been abandoned. :-)

2.4 works in the stable tree just fine.

As regards the unstable tree, 2.4 is intended to be supported as an
unprivileged guest domain (not dom0), but does get broken from time to
time. It usually gets fixed eventually if someone shouts.

Is there anyone interested in helping us out on 2.4?

Best,
Ian
