Linux 2.6.11 in domain0 hangs at hardware initialization
Hello,

I just made my first contacts with xen. I'm trying to run xen 2.0.6
with Linux 2.6.11.10 in domain0. My problem is that the Linux kernel
in domain0 hangs while configuring the USB controller. The last two
lines I see are:

PCI: Obtained IRQ 21 for device 000:00:10.0
uhci_hcd 0000:00:10.0: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT82xxxx UHCI USB 1.1 Controller

Is someone able to give me pointers on how to track this down?

Other PCI devices are beeing detected without problems. The same
kernel runs on the same hardware natively without problems. The
system is an Athlon64 on an Asus A8V motherboard. Xen and the Linux
kernel are compiled for x86, not x86_64. The USB controller:

000:00:10.0 USB Controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT82xxxxx UHCI USB
1.1 Controller (rev 81) (prog-if 00 [UHCI])
Subsystem: Asustek Computer, Inc. A7V600 motherboard
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 21
I/O ports at d800 [size=32]
Capabilities: [80] Power Management version 2

Regards,
Jim

Just for the archive:

Yesterday I reviewed the config of my dom0 Linux kernel and found that
I had not enabled the usbdev filesystem. Enabled, recompiled,
rebooted. Now Xen works like a charm.
