The next four patches backport upstream linux changes that stop the
CPU-specific identification structures for non-Intel manufacturers
being thrown away after boot. In particular they get rid of this rather
scary message that was printed after save/restore on AMD machines:
CPU: Vendor unknown, using generic init.
CPU: Your system may be unstable.
