------- Comment #12 from johneed@hotmail.com 2011-08-02 03:06 -------
Thought I committed an entry two days ago; anyway. I have edited the title
with and without a typo to indicate this appears to be generic to the 4.1 xen
source, not to the distro.

<You might be better emailing the xen-devel and CC the developers of that code
<hg annotate <appropriate file>.

I can't figure what would be the appropriate file, presumably in
xen-4.1-testing.hg. The issue can be dodged simply be de-selecting ACM, so
from my position it's sufficient to have the issues as is in this bug. I
suspect they will deal with it at some point.

re the memory mishap, it's trivial. I don't see the help of filing a new bug
for it seeing it's a known issue.

I spoke to some folks on the XenSummit and they recommended you post the
ACM/FLASK problem on xen-devel and we would try to figure out what is wrong. It
looks like the NSA is using it and they have no trouble with it - so perhaps it
is missing just some labels (whatever that means)

Konrad,
sure, but eeeh, how? remember I'm a newbie to xensource bugzilla.
At least I'm not alone in non full comprehension.
My best guesses;
re-assign to xen-devel@lists.xensource.com.
CC to them.

And the NSA guys do have ACM/Flask working - they showed a demo of it on the
XenSummit so it is suppose to work. Is there any documentation about it? Did
you try that ?

ok looks as if xen-devel@lists.xensource.com is the way to go.

I've not done a search for documentation, but I have yet to re-read thru the
xen user docs and they may at least touch on it.
The brief perusal of docs was long ago, I could plow thru them some more, but
often it goes straight to devel programming rather than a how to on using the
basic features.
the stubdom is another xen feature that I've not quite grasped. When I last
tried looking for some supportive docs on stubdom couldn't really find any.
The few paragraph in the source package was nowhere near enough to describe
what it is for and how to employ it. Was a good while ago. The build is
fairly taxing and after it all, what does it do??? Got one stubdom running
which had no graphical iface.

Konrad,

please verify for me, docs in package xen-4.n is still version 3.3?

xen-devel@lists.xensource.com is a mailing list, not a bugzilla page like this.
A few days have passed. Is it correct to have sent this to bug to that email
address?
What and how do I seek an answer to it? Nothing turned up in my email account
as an answer.
Does that imply putting myself in a xen-devel@lists.xensource.com mailing list?

In anticipation...

Looks like I have another bug to enter for 4.1.1

Yes, you need to subscribe to that mailing list.

In regards to documentation - any patches for that would be appreciated.

Konrad

I subscribed just now. Oh to be a patch maker. I'm afraid I can only follow
the xen docs links I find, and I can't find a 4.1 docs, appears as only links
to individual pages that describe a newly added feature. Anyway shall keep it
in mind if I have a breakthru.
I'm still waiting for you to find my bug 1776.
