Need help with tweaking new pages (was: Welcome to the "Wikitech-l" mailing list
Hi, I've posted a request for help at the
intlwiki-l but have received no answer
yet on how to change to the new software
for vo.wikipedia.com to vo.wikipedia.org
Can someone here help?

Also, could you point me to how-to's
on page background tweaking etc.
Does this entail the software client or
is it through the web that it can be
accomplished?

I like the job the Eo group have done
with the look of the Esperanto Wikipedia.
Kudos!

Cheers,
Jay B.

Nice to see that Rev. Schleyer's dream is still alive. :)

I'm still finishing up the rewrite of the conversion script to upgrade
the old-old wikis to the new-new software.

Previously we had a script to upgrade from the old-old wikis to the
new-old wiki, then another to ugprade from the new-old wiki to the
old-new wiki, and then there's a bunch more scripts to update the
database layout to the new-new wiki. Well, suffice to say the process is
a little messy. So I'm consolidating it into a single step, which I can
then run in one big batch on all the remaining languages.

And that will be good. :)

Patience! It'll be a couple days.

On the new software, the 'skin' for the site can be selected per user,
with a couple different options. The old software that vo.wikipedia.com
etc are still running doesn't do that.

You can pretty things up a bit within the page though; see eg
