I have exactly the same problem with French/Japanese wikis.
I'm disconnected and I my password cookie is lost.
Do all wikis share the same cookie ?

I have never, ever been able to reproduce this problem. Not with Mozilla
1.x, not with IE 5.5, not with Konqueror 2.2.

If you guys want help solving this, I want to see exact step by step
instructions on reproducing it, from creation of a user account on.

No, each subdomain stores its separate cookies:
PHPSESSID - Session ID
wcUserID - the internal id number of your user account
wcUserName - your user name
wcUserPassword - a hash of your password. Only stored if you click
the "store password across sessions" checkbox when logging in.

All expire one month after they are set (ie, at logon) except the
session ID, which is set to expire at the end of your browser session.

I looked at my cookie jar and found four cookies in wikipedia.org. Some were
set by www.wikipedia.org and some by fr.wikipedia.org. The four cookies are
all set by www. I log into fr. Now they are gone. I click on an article in
www. I am logged out. They are now:
wcUserPassword: some hexadecimal gibberish set by www
wcUsedID: 24 set by fr
wcUserName: PierreAbbat set by fr
PHPSESSID: some hexadecimal gibberish set by www
Now I click on an article in fr. I am logged out of both. They are now
vanished again.

I am using Konqueror 2.1.1.
