Hi --
I've recently installed the vpnc software on a machine running the
Fedora 2 distribution and am getting the above error when attempting to
connect to the VPN at work. The router at the other end is a Cisco 1700
series router which was interoperating with release 4.0.3(b) of Cisco's
client before I upgraded.
If it helps, I was getting a similar message the few times I tried
using the FreeSwan software instead of Cisco's. I never bothered
diagnosing it too much since the Cisco code was working: I'd just fall
back to running that and kept going.
Any suggestions as to what else I should be looking for would be
appreciated. Thanks in advance.
