Remoting a basic X11 screen using the supplied library
Hello!
I am running VNC version 4.1.3 on Slackware-11.0 (with all of the
usual patches applied as of three days ago.) Problem is that I have
applied the necessary additions to the X11 configuration page for my
system as described on the VNC location regarding using the library.
I've even made sure that the password location and everything else
exists simply by doing the normal things for starting up a newly
installed VNC method on a newly built system.

However on this laptop the viewer binary for Windows promptly tells me
that there is no password defined for the desktop itself. And does the
usual things when it can't find something to connect to, it then
prompts me to try again.

These are the ones I have used:
Section "Screen"
...
Option "SecurityTypes" "VncAuth"
Option "UserPasswdVerifier" "VncAuth"
Option "PasswordFile" "/root/.vnc/passwd"
EndSection

Actually more like:
SubSection "VNC"
Option "SecurityTypes" "VncAuth"
Option "UserPasswdVerifier" "VncAuth"
Option "PasswordFile" "/root/.vnc/passwd"
EndSubSection
EndSection

Is there anything else I missed? Is anyone actually using that method
on any distribution of Linux and is getting it to work?
