Dear All,
I have been using VNC Free edition server just fine, but recently it
started acting up. Upon booting the server the service is running, but I
cannot connect to it. When I try restart the service, it says Error 1053
the service did not respond in a timely fashion.
I edited the registry from 30000 milliseconds to 60000 milliseconds to
wait for the service's starting, but still not enough.
Below is a log from the Even viewer that I get when trying to manually
start the service:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7009
Date: 15-09-2009
Time: 11:30:09 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SERVER
Description:
Timeout (60000 milliseconds) waiting for the VNC Server Version 4
service to connect.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
I am using the latest free version. I downloaded the 4.5 evaluation to
try but fails the same way.
Any help is appreciated,
Ben
