[Bug 3398] New: spamd causes perl core dump when starting with wrapped/invalid config-file
http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3398

Summary: spamd causes perl core dump when starting with
wrapped/invalid config-file
Product: Spamassassin
Version: 2.63
Platform: Other
URL: http://gewis.nl/~pieterb/spamassassin/bugs/bogus-virus-
warnings-wrong.cf
OS/Version: FreeBSD
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: spamc/spamd
AssignedTo: spamassassin-dev@incubator.apache.org
ReportedBy: pieterb@gewis.nl
CC: pieterb@gewis.nl

I made a mistake when downloading a spamassassin config file.
The lines in the cf-file were accidently wrapped. When I tried to start the
spamd, with
/usr/local/bin/spamd -a -c -d -r /var/run/spamd.pid
Perl crashed with a core dump. The /var/log/messages lists:

May 16 13:02:24 hostname kernel: pid 42587 (perl), uid 0: exited on signal 6
(core dumped)

Because of the core dump, the spam daemon isn't started.

The (wrapped) config file can be found at:
