Ok!!! Well, I downloaded and installed CGI.pm-2.56 and am now faced with
a login screen. Makin' progress. Thanks!

Well.. I installed CGI 2.56 from CPAN and all is working now...

http://search.cpan.org/ might be of some help in the future. Older,
deprecated modules and bundles really should be labeled as such. *sigh*

You should mail the maintainers and point that out since 2.76 is 2 years
old.
