Ripping Attachments to Feed into sa-learn
Hi,

I'm using SpamAssassin with the Bayes feature enabled. I run a daily cron
task that feeds the mail from the /var/spool/mail/spamcatch file into sa-learn.

I want to be able to forward, as attachments, to a script which will
extract each of the attachments (i.e. the emails with the headers
preserved) and append them into the spamcatch mail file, so that the daily
cron job sa-learn[s] them in.

Is this possible with ripmime? I compiled the source and run it against
some sample emails that had word docs and some spam in the one mailbox and
it did in fact extract them, but the email messages appeared to not be
correctly extracted. Each started with the contents of the email, then the
headers, then the contents.

The command I ran was:
ripmime -i /var/spool/mail/spamcatch -d /tmp/extracted

Could someone please lend some assistance on how I could achieve this? I am
constantly going over the flags and documentation I can find online, but
feel a little lost overall given that I am not getting the results I would
have expected from ripmime.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :-)

Kind regards,

Gareth Budge
