problematic messages
I used 1.3.0.5 and for some messages it outputs as header part of the
attachment. The messages where sent using pine. With 1.2.17.0 the problem
does not exist. I've attached such a message. Be aware that it contains
virus as attachment (I checked odeavir).
I've inserted in the beginning of the file "asd" which should be removed
to make the file understandable for bzip. I did this because of the virus
scanners on the mail servers.

Alexander,

Have you had a chance to try ripMIME 1.3-dev ?

I'll still take a look at the message as well.

Regards.

I just checked with 1.3-dev, and I get the following results;

bash-2.05b$ ripmime -i example.txt -v -d rmtmp
Decoding filename=textfile0
Decoding filename=textfile1
Decoding filename=virus.exe
Decoding filename=textfile2

bash-2.05b$ ls -la rmtmp
total 188
drwxr-xr-x 2 worker users 4096 Jan 11 17:57 .
drwxr-xr-x 202 worker users 16384 Jan 11 17:57 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 worker users 1 Jan 11 17:57 doubleCR.1
-rw-r--r-- 1 worker users 216 Jan 11 17:57 textfile0
-rw-r--r-- 1 worker users 46 Jan 11 17:57 textfile1
-rw-r--r-- 1 worker users 47575 Jan 11 17:57 textfile2
-rw-r--r-- 1 worker users 106496 Jan 11 17:57 virus.exe

...then with scanning;

bash-2.05b$ /opt/bdc/bdc rmtmp
BDC/Linux-Console v7.0 (build 2492) (i386) (Dec 11 2003 13:24:00)

Warning: no scan option defined; using defaults

/home/worker/rmtmp/virus.exe infected: Win32.Swen.A@mm

Was there something else that was wrong perhaps?

Regards.
