Hello,
I am running Quagga on a Fritzbox using Freetz and also on a DD-WRT device. On
the Fritzbox the Quagga version is 0.99.17 and on the DD-WRT device the
version is 1.2.4.
As a complete newbie to Quagga and OSPF I checked out some tutorials. At some
point in these tutorials the neighbors of a device are checked with "show ip
ospf neighbor". On Quagga 0.99.17 (device with the IP 172.22.22.1) it looks
like this:
Neighbor ID Pri State Dead Time Address Interface
RXmtL RqstL DBsmL
172.22.22.3 1 Full/DR 1m42s 172.22.22.3 lan:172.22.22.1
0 0 0
And on Quagga 1.2.4 (device with the IP 172.22.22.3) it always looks like this:
Neighbor ID Pri State Dead Time Address Interface
RXmtL RqstL DBsmL
172.27.0.10 1 (null)/(null) 1m26s 172.29.0.2 ath0:172.29.0.3
0 0 0
172.22.22.1 1 (null)/(null) 1m33s 172.22.22.1 br0:172.22.22.3
0 0 0
I do not understand the state (null)/(null) and googled it without any
success. Also the devices 172.22.22.1 and 172.22.22.3 are direct neighbors and
the states should somehow have a corresponding state. Am I correct?
Maybe someone can help me with that or is that a bug in the newer Quagga
version 1.2.4?
Thank you and cheers,
Martin
