plans for quagga
Are there any plan for quagga to include an rtnetlink like interface
into the deamons so you can get BGP info from outside?

Reason I ask is I'm starting on building an accounting system for
linux/quagga using ctnetlink (interface to conntrack of iptables) wich
should become Netflow compatible. To get source, destination and nexthop
AS numbers i would need a hook into the bgp table.

Are there existing methods like using the CLI libraries to get this info?

Requirements are offcourse an interface wich can work a high speeds and
with little impact on the bgp process.

Thanks in advance.

It's on the wish-list, yes.

Not any good ones. vtysh gets by by way of intimate knowledge of the
vty interface hacked to run over AF_LOCAL. But it's not a very good
interface.

A generic information exchange protocol is something that'd be nice
to have.
