Hi all.

In our configuration, all outside email goes a firewall machine running Gauntlet,
which uses Sendmail for mail delivery. Now, all mail from this machine is
currently being relayed to a FreeBSD PC running QMAIL for internal resolution.

However, I am seeing a number of messages fail to transfer from the Sendmail on
the firewall to the QMAIL machine. The output from mailq on the Sendmail machine
for an example message from the firewall digest list to my email address is:

XAA28203 42756 Fri Feb 28 23:21 <firewalls-digest-owner@GreatCircle.COM>
(I/O error: Input/output error)
<jcring@switch.com>

And from the syslog, the error is:

mqueue: <jcring@switch.com>... I/O error: Error 0

I'm still receiving firewall digests, so it appears to be a problem with this
specific message.

Any ideas on what the problem might be, or how I might go about figuring it
out? I watched the syslog machines on each machine, and the QMAIL log only
shows the normal connection to tcp-env from the firewall machine, and doesn't
give any indication of an error.
