Linux-FT is a distribution of Linux 1.2.5 on cd. It is *supposed* to
include full ELF support - that's why I bought it!

nm is version 2.5.2.6

Theres *always* a catch ;-)

I suspected that this was the problem. To be honest, I was astonished
when I saw the FT distribution adverstied on linux-announce, back when
the linux-gcc group was still working on getting GCC out of alpha.

OK. Once you've got the new distribution, see how it does. If it still
fails, contact me and p5p, and we'll try to iron out the problems.

I won't waste any more of your time - the ELF support is only the alpha
version, hence the problems. My copy is on it's way back to the
distributor as I write this. Pity, since the Linux-FT package is nicely
put together, it has a GUI based boot manager, and a 'copycache' which
only copies stuff from the CD as you access it. The distributor
(Lasermoon) have assured me that a new release is out within the next
week or so, so I'll wait to see what it is like. It is based around the
1.2.13 kernel, and contains XFree 3.1.2. To be fair to the distributor,
they were happy to offer a return & refund or a replacement, so I can't
complain *too* much.
