https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3600
Bug ID: 3600
Summary: please make ssh-keygen symlink aware for proper
handling of hosts removal in symlinked known_hosts
Product: Portable OpenSSH
Version: 9.3p2
Hardware: amd64
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P5
Component: ssh-keygen
Assignee: unassigned-bugs@mindrot.org
Reporter: devzero@web.de
apparently, if a known_hosts file is being symlinked, when using
ssh-keygen -f <your_known_hosts> -R hostname
the reference to the symlinked file is being lost, as ssh-keygen is
renaming the file and recreating it new
not sure how to handle this issue correctly in proxmox otherwise,
without makeing ssh-keygen symlink aware
