this question is actually related to OpenBSD, but i thought i'd see here
just in case anyone has run accross this problem. I have read through the
faq, the user's guide, and NTOP: An Overview, but have not found the
solution to my problem. whenever i try to run ntop in web mode, it tells
me that the -w option has been turned off for security reasons:
butter:~ }> l `which ntop`
---s--s--x 1 root bin 163840 Jun 4 20:27 /usr/local/sbin/ntop*
butter:~ }> ntop -d -w 3000
-w mode is disabled for security reasons.
butter:~ }> sudo ntop -d -w 3000
-w mode is disabled for security reasons.
butter:~ }>
does anyone know why this might be? do i need to recompile ntop to allow
this? thank you in advance for any help,
