Nprobe disable collector hostname resolution
Hi All:

I'm using Nprobe 7.1 and it throws an error when the collector IP can not
be resolved via nslookup. Is it possible to disable hostname resolution for
collector? Maybe this is resolved in a newer version of nprobe already?

Much Thanks

Re: Nprobe disable collector hostname resolution [ In reply to ]
Hi Luca:

For example, I am pointing nprobe to a collector (192.168.102.26). We are
not seeing Nprobe generating any Netflow to the collector. Examining the
logs, we see an error message in regard attempting to resolve the
collector's IP address. This IP is connected to a secondary interface, and
its not resolvable via our DNS. We also do not wish to add DNS support for
these collectors.

Is it possible to have collector DNS lookup as an option instead of a must?

Much Thanks
