Email hit NANOG about 5 minutes ago about this as well. It appears there is
some sort of power outage in progress.

Confirmed. Hurricane Electric's Fremont 2 data center lost power. This
is the second time 2 months.

I haven't been able to get any more information from them about either
power outage. Nobody seems to know anything, sales refers to customer
support, and vice versa. File a ticket: ticket closed with "There was a
power outage". What an unprofessional operation...

A peer of mine says that some equipment of theirs at Fremont 2 lost
power as well, so you're not alone. Time to re-read your SLA. :-)

Yeah, I'm sure that $40 credit Hurricane will drop in your lap will more than make up for the thousands of dollars in lost business. SLAs are useless.

Same here. 0933 Pacific time was when my systems rebooted according
to their clocks.

Yep, SLA's are useless.

SLA story time: I got a $120 credit last month when the local loop for a
SAVVIS circuit was accidentally canceled by AT&T and it took them a day
to reconnect everything.

Knock on wood but after the number of years of connectivity issues we suffered at HE #1 a few years back. After being told they don't announce scheduled or unscheduled outages because it would take time away from staff working on the problems, etc. sorta glad we did not move stuff to HE #2 back then, and instead spread out to a few other data center locations in addition to HE #1.

It was my impression that HE.net didn't even offer SLAs, not that any small
credit would equate to the tarnished customer perception caused by yet
another outage.
