whois-servers.net down?
Hello All:

Not sure if this is topical, but it appears your friendly unix-style WHOIS is down, at least in Seattle.

whois: com.whois-servers.net: hostname nor servname provided, or not known
or
whois: com.whois-servers.net: Non-recoverable failure in name resolution

Regards,

Mike

True enough, but in the interest of keeping it short I excluded the
whois output and other diags.

I guess I was under verbose. Except paired with a natural disaster,
geography alone is not a useful "up/down" metric. "XO in LA" is
useful. "LA" is not.
