Juniper GE LX and Cisco Catalyst 4006 LX
Hi,

I am trying to connect a Juniper GE LX PIC to a Catalyst 4006 GE LX. By
using a Single Mode or Multimode cable the interface refuses to go up.
On a using a mode conditioning patch cord, I am able to get the Cisco
interface to go up. However the Juniper Interface is still down. Looks
like the Juniper RX does not understand the Cisco TX.

Anybody can shed some light on what I am doing wrong here.

Regards

Multi mode will work for LX at less than 300m with no mode conditioning
cable required, and single mode should just work period. One side seeing
link and the other not screams either a) one side of the fiber is broken,
or b) auto-negotiation mismatch. Check the basics first. :)
