Dear Foundry Community,
I work for a telecommunications company and we are considering
deploying Foundry switches on our network Core and DIstribution
layers, so I recently purchased a second hand NetIron 24G in order to
learn more about Foundry's switching platform.
All and all the CLI is similar enough to Cisco gear that I have
managed to figure out how to do almost anything I need to with
relative ease.
That is until I needed to enable remote management so I could telnet
into my switch.
I have issues the following commands:
username dcorbe priv 0 password <password>
enable telnet authentication
enable telnet password <telnetpassword>
Now when I telnet into the switch I get:
User Access Verification
Please Enter Login Name : dcorbe
Please Enter Password:
User login failure.
I enter my login name and password and it does not work.
Any help is appriciated and thank you!
