Troubleshooting 1Gbps port
Hi,

I am trying to deploy 1 Gigabit Ethernet on VMware with Extreme BD-8810
(ExtremeXOS version 12.0.1.11), however the port always negotiate at
100Mbps instead. If I try to set the port at 1Gbps I lost connectivity.

#configure ports 7:11 auto on speed 1000 duplex full

The cable was tested and it's fine. I've changed the port, but I still have
the same problem. I have tried to set up the VMware to 1Gbps, but I lost
connectivity.

This is the print of my port configuration:

SW_CORE.4 # show ports 7:11 configuration no-refresh

Media
router State State Neg Cfg Actual Cfg Actual Cntrl Master Pri

================================================================================
7:11 VR-Default E R ON AUTO AUTO UTP

It could be the VMware NIC, but I look at my log and although the port 7:11
doesn't appear there, I have many 1Gbps ports flapping.

Then, I not sure if the problem that I have with the VMware is the same
problem that I have with the flapping interfaces. Has anyone experienced
such problem?

Thanks,
Luiz.
