Problem installing SSH software module in Extreme XOS
Hi,
I am running XOS 12.0.4.5 on a SummitX450 and I am trying to install the latest SSH software module: summitX-12.1.2.17-ssh.xmod.

When trying to install it on my switch I get the following error:

SummitX450# download image 10.10.10.2 summitX-12.1.2.17-ssh.xmod "VR-Default" primaryDo you want to install image after downloading? (y - yes, n - no, <cr> - cancel) Yes
Downloading to Switch...Installing to primary partition!
Installing to Switch.Error: Failed to install image - Can not read spec file

Does the SW module have to of the exact same SW level as my XOS installation?
(Currently I have: XOS = 12.0.4.5 but SSH SW module = 12.1.2.17)

Best Regards
/// Fredrik

Hello Fredrik,

Try and run a checksum on the file that is failing if not you might have to downgrade a little bit and try out a lower version like [summitX-12.0.3.16-ssh.xmod] since you are running XOS = 12.0.4.5!

Hope it helps.

Regards
