1.2.6 vs 1.2.7 plugins

I'm running version 1.2.6 of nessus. Now that version
1.2.7 is the most stable the plugins that I get via
cvs are also in the 1.2.7 branch. I'm not confident
that plugins written for 1.2.7 will work on 1.2.6
especially the .nes plugins. How can I run nessus
1.2.6 and still get the latest plugins? Once you
change from 1.2.6 to 1.2.7 does that mean the
development stops on 1.2.6?

They do.

Yes. All the plugins between the same release (1.0.x, 1.2.x, ...) are
compatible.

What should I do about updating .nes files? I noticed
that if I check out NESSUS_1_2 the .nes files such as
nmap_wrapper.c are different than the
Nessus-1-2-6-release .nes plugins. Should I go ahead
and build the newer .nes plugins even though they
aren't part of the Nessus-1-2-6-release?

Yes. All the plugins between the same release (1.0.x,
1.2.x, ...) are
compatible.

They are supposedly bug fixed.
