Unfortunately mythtv.org infrastructure is a bit fragile at the moment. I believe the dev who had this under control has stepped away. Hopefully at some point someone will be able to kick it back into life.

At the bottom of each of the emails I get for the MythTV list, there are
links for pertinent topics, one of which is where settings for this list
are administered (I think):
http://lists.mythtv.org/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users

When I click that link, I get a page that contains "503 Service
Unavailable. No server is available to handle this request."

Is this a (theoretically) temporary condition that is likely to be
resolved when the server is back or is the link no longer valid and I
should use some other route to the settings page?

Things should be up and running again. I hope to improve the backend
setup in the next month or so.
