ATSC 3.0 turning on DRM
In an effort to keep users from recording free over the air TV moving
forward, The broadcasters in the USA are turning on the feature of
NextgenTV, ATSC 3.0 that keeps a lot of current equipment from receiving
the signal. DRM has been turned on in many markets. This only affects ATSC
3.0. Once equipment manufacturers get certified for DRM it will prevent
free TV from being recorded without paying for it.

A youtuber I watch did a video about his personal experience with this and
is starting a petition to send to Congress.

Jim, thanks for keeping us in the loop. I don't want to see DRM for OTA
stuff, that would suck, not sure how else I can help with advocating for
this.
