The TVDB
At the time where I had to take a break from MythTV, I was under the
impression that tvdb access was being phased out due to their switch
to a pay model. When I recently installed 32, I noticed there's still
a grabber, which is good, as tvmaze and themoviedb still miss a lot of
series info, especially for smaller shows like cooking shows on PBS.

So is the phase out still happening at some point? Did tvdb reconsider?

MythTV was approved by TheTVDB and obtained a free license to theTVdb
