You should just be able to install the ALSA drivers. ALSA has an
OSS-compatibility API, so Myth doesn't need to do anything special to do
basic sound output. There is experimental native ALSA support in Myth, but
it's not necessary if you just want to use the ALSA drivers.

OT: I'm new to mythtv and having problems navigating/finding the
different directories/files ... is there an overview or map somewhere.
I've looked at the faq, but didn't find it..
