Mailing List Archive: What is MythTV recording?

Looking at the CPU usage, mythtvbackend is recording
something, though I don't know what. I believe it
never stopped during LiveTV.

mythfrontend reports that all inputs are in use, but
there is nothing currently being recorded under Watch
Recordings.

Usually when this happens, I have to stop/start
mythfrontend and mythbackend. Does anyone else have
this happen?

Also, if all available inputs are in use, it would be
nice if mythfrontend would tell me what it is
recording and let me switch to it. Alternately, let me
cancel whatever is being recorded so I can switch to
another channel if I so choose.

Happens to me all the time. If I hit "r" from the epg to record
something quickly then hit "r" again to stop it, if I switch to watch
live tv, I get "all inputs are taken". I check and nothing is recording
but have to restart mythbackend to be able to watch live tv.
