I am new to Linux and MythTV and need some help to get my sound working
properly. No matter what I try I can only get chipmunks sounding audio.
I have a Flyvideo 3000 card (saa7134 chip set) using sound over the PCI bus
rather than using the audio patch cable to a sound card.
In the capture card setup in mythtv-setup I have setup an "Analogue V4L
capture card" using an Audio device of "/dev/dsp0" and an Audio sampling
rate limit of 32000. I also tried the other rates with the same results.
I tried setting /etc/asound.conf to declare a "saa7134" device at 32000 khz
and then setting the Audio device to "ALSA:saa7134". Mythtv-setup didn't
save the setting and reverted back to "/dev/dsp0". Am I doing the wrong
thing?
My recording profiles are all set to 32000khz.
Can anybody suggest what I should try next?
Thanks.
