Poor Video Quality
I've been using mythtv for a few weeks now (GeForce 4MX -> SVideo -> 53"
Widescreen TV). I've been amazed by the mythtv platform, my only objection
is I can't seem to get decent video quality. The video output is really
blocky. I've tried to fix this by fiddling with the internals of
NuppleVideoRecord.cpp without any luck. Is anyone else use mythtv connected
to a big tv? What is the quality like? Am I missing something?

Rtjpeg at a quality of 255 should be pretty close, quality wise, to the raw
video.. mpeg4 at 8000 bps or so is of similar quality. You can also use
libavcodec's huffyuv codec and get lossless compression, if your harddrive's
up to the punishment that entails.
