G200 issues
2 Questions:

1) I'm still having problems getting mythtv to work (display
video/ hear audio). When I launch the binary, I get these errors:

Delaying to next trigger: 242314
Delaying to next trigger: 236487
Delaying to next trigger: 300940

After a while, it then starts outputting this:

Audio buffer overflow, audio data lost!
Audio buffer overflow, audio data lost!
Audio buffer overflow, audio data lost!
Audio buffer overflow, audio data lost!

2) I'm now using an SB Live! card (onboard CMedia wasn't cutting it). I
didn't bother installing Alsa since the kernel assigned modules to get it
working (I'm presuming OSS).

Are others able to successfully use SB Live with OSS, or should I
implement ALSA to try and fix these problems?

My next step is to try & use the CVS code (with the hardware-mjpeg), but
I'd like to understand why I'm at a stand-still first.

I believe that Delaying to next trigger is semi-normal.
i think it's just nupplevideo/libavcodec..etc.. needing to skip some
audio to keep things in sync (i.e. it's not being able to process the
data fast enough)

which possibly make sense because your next errors are even more
critical, bascially it can't even skip fast enough and now data is being
lost..
so somethings not fast enough for all the processing.

what type of machine do you have?
also, i would install the ALSA drivers. it'll probably help quite a bit.
make sure you get the latest CVS of ALSA or the latest one with the bug
fix that causes machines to hang.

Mark,

Right now, I'm running on a K6-2 400MHz w/256 RAM. Obviously, I'm not
looking for quality performance, I just want to know that it will work
before investing upgraded hardware into my dedicated MythTV rig.

Case in point. I had planned on buying an ATI AiW 7500. It offered
TV-out, Remote Control, and is quite powerful compared to my G200. Then I
find out half the functionality I was expecting isn't available on linux
right now. Glad I waited.
