MythTV 0.7 "setup" problems?
I'm trying to install the new MythTV version (0.7) and I get an error when
I run setup:

# ./setup
./setup: error while loading shared libraries: libmyth-0.7.so.0: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory

I checked and the file is there and all the paths seem to be OK. Does
anyone know what could cause this?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Make sure that /usr/local/lib is in /etc/ld.so.conf and then run ldconfig

That worked. Thanks! Is that in any of the FAQs?

Nope, but maybe somebody should add it. I know for sure that mandrake and RH
don't have /usr/local/lib in ld.so.conf by default, and adding it's one of
the first things I do with a fresh install of either of those.

I don't know why these distro's don't include it by default. Perhaps someone
more knowledgble than I can answer that.

It's in the README.mandrake9.0 - I plan on adding other distribution
specific information and making it a general purpose howto document
for the next release.

It's the last question in the FAQ that's distributed with 0.7.

Yup, it is. (As of about 3 or 4 days ago.)
