[offtopic rant] apache+mod_perl+oracle?
<rant>

Would anyone be interested in developing an ecommerce solution (single
sign on, catalog, blah blah blah) for $1mil? To be delivered in 2-3
months. Sorry for the off topic rant but I'm just a little pissed off
right now. A solution was purchased which turned out be repackaged
software + a proprietory client for over a million. The company selling
the solution isn't even providing proper support. I was talking to the
"technical architect" today and he indicated that if the solution does not
work they might need to get something else.

Just as an example of how bad things are, I am looking at the flowchart
for purchasing something and it lists 35 steps and has the words "manually
create" in several places. Argh. I sure this could be done so much better
instead of the forced "hammering round peg in square hole" thing they seem
to be trying to do.

Gee, $1 mill, 3 months. Can you pay half in advance?
